Community Update

After a few days of testing, the Reserved Slots appears to be in working order. I'm adding to the list all of the FFC game admins so that they don't have to fire up their server managers to get in game. I'll also be adding to the list anyone who is currently in the "This Months Donors" box so that we can have a bit of a reward and thank you to the folks who are helping to keep us online. If your name is in the donors box and I haven't already added you, feel free to PM me your in game BF2 name, exactly as it is spelled, without the tag you enter at the login screen.
Bandwidth Issues
With the server as full as it's been we've used 400GB of bandwidth in the past 7 days. We've only been really populated since about the 13th of January so for this month, bandwidth isn't an issue. For next month however, we may have to throttle back the number of players if the traffic keeps up. Over the last few days we've been averaging about 65GB per day. At that rate, we'd hit 1800GB of traffic for the month of February. Our limit is 1500GB. Anything over 1500GB is very expensive and a 300GB overage would probably cost us around $250. To address the issue I've started looking into an upgraded server. The new line of machines that are available not only have more powerfull processors but come with 2500GB of bandwidth. Our monthly cost will still remain the same.
New Games for 2007
We're still anticipating Desert Conflict of course but also on the horizion for 2007 is Crysis, Frontlines: Fuel of War and a few other games that look very promising. Whatever there is demand for, we'll try it out. If there's any other games you think might be of interrest to the FFC, post them in the forums and we'll take a look at them.
